So Much Honesty

I have not forgotten
It took me so long
To realize
To remember

And yet
I still have not found the strength
To truly embrace
The fact of you

So, I hide behind this scholarly mask
This endeavor brings me solitude
It brings me silence

And pain

There is so much honesty
Here in the silence and pain
Not really being ‘other’
Not really being ‘sane’
